One of our occasional events is a Garden Gathering. This is simply an opportunity to meet in someone’s garden and do a small project together. Just as with bigger permablitzes on which this is based, it is anticipated that people will qualify for their own after they have attended two or three others.
The project may include planning (with Permaculture designers available), a small project that’s easier to get done with more helpers, or just some light maintenance or planting. We can also build wicking beds, compost bays and similar.
Occasionally on a Sunday afternoon we gather in someone’s garden and help them with a slightly larger project or just with some regular chores. Usually 2 to 4 pm followed by afternoon tea. Kids welcome. Contact us for information on the next one, or if you would like to host one.

Permablitz
a full day in the garden helping someone with a major project. This is not easy to organise but provides a good model for our smaller garden gatherings. To qualify to run a Permablitz or Garden Gathering in your own garden, attendance at two or three similar events is usually required.
