Kyneton Community Climate March – this Sunday 21st September

kyneton climate march

On Sunday, September 21st, just days before a landmark climate summit at the UN, people across the planet are taking part in a World Climate March.

The Kyneton March will start at the Quarry Reserve which is at the river end of Piper Street. We will then move up Piper Street to Mollison Street and then along Mollison to the Mechanics Institute.

If your kids (or adults) would like their faces painted turn up an hour earlier at  noon at the rotunda in Quarry Reserve.

If you intend to make a sign or banner go for it! The symbol of our concern is a green heart.

After the march there will be speakers at the Mechanics who will not just reiterate what we already know … this is a dangerous situation for everything we love and cherish.

World leaders don’t believe enough of us care about climate change, that’s why they’re still not yet rising to the challenge of saving our planet. But on September 21, we have an unprecedented chance to prove them wrong, with the largest climate mobilisation in history.
We also need volunteers to help make this event a success. Contact Rob on 54221808 or Marcus on 54235254.  Email: robbakes@mudbrickcircus.com.au.
The Kyneton March is supported by Kyneton Transition Hub, Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group, Trentham Sustainability Group and Riddells Creek Sustainability.
