Boomerang Bags

Boomerang Bags is an initiative where communities make and share reusable shopping bags to reduce plastic use.

It started in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast and has been quickly adopted both around Australia and overseas. For more information check out their website.

Kyneton Community & Learning Centre and Kyneton Transition Hub are jointly supporting this initiative in Kyneton. We have a small steering group to find resources and network with the community.

Our first sewing bee is scheduled for Thursday 4th May (9.30 am to 3 pm at the Kyneton Community & Learning Centre). There will be weekly sewing bees after that, on different days to suit more volunteers. A monthly weekend sewing bee is also planned.

Our steering group meets on Wednesdays at 7 pm – approximately fortnightly at the moment, or as required in the future.

For more information find us on facebook, email us at kynetonboomerangbags@gmail.com or phone the KC&LC on 5422 3433.
